Summer School

Oh what a day. We taught a workshop today for our two new patterns

Airlie
And Cranbrook

With Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop.
Karen (aka Mrs Martin) spent all week preparing the hall and baking (yes, in 44 degree heat)!
It looked amazing.
We will apologise for the green tinge in the photos.  The light was good in the hall, but it casts a green glow in photos... Odd....

We had a great bunch of ladies, 63 in all. Including some wonderful friends, ladies we have taught before and some new ladies.

One lovely lady told us of a quilting tour/ trip to the USA she had last year. She said that because they all came with a common interest that they all got along instantly. This group was the same. It seemed as though everyone had a wonderful time and we had a blast.

Here are some photos of what everyone was working on:

Thanks so much for a great day everyone who came and to Karen for organising a very successful Summer School!
We look forward to seeing some PhD's and completed quilts soon.

Lou & Lisa

PS. We are in issue 99 of Quiltmania which is being delivered now.  We shall give you a sneak pic in the next couple of days.

P.s. my effort is the pineapple without it's leaves near the top of your pictures. I'm really enjoying the felt appliqué- still working on it! :-)
